En suite splendor

En suite splendor

The feature wall is decorated with two stain framed mirrors and four wall sconces proud of the horizontal tile. The vanity has a lot of storage for all essential items. Two under mount dark porcelain rectangular sinks compliment the dark handles. Beyond you can see the laundry area, walk-in closet and dressing area. We saw the master bedroom view previously. The tile continues in the walk-in closet and transitions to the hickory hardwood of the master bedroom. Who doesn’t want to step into their en suite and start their day!

The Spiral Feature

The Spiral Feature

Here is the view from above on the second floor looking down to the basement. This three story feature has been given a facelift with the lacquered handrail and black pickets. The stairs have been clad with a wool carpet. From this perspective you can see the walnut accents that unify the complete renovation. We are starting to place the artwork and add the personal touches to the spaces. We are reaching the end of the renovation and ready to turn the house over to the family. It has been a journey and the sign of a successful project it the delight as they take over their home.

The completed family room is seen here with personalized artwork, fireplace screen, new sectional and an oval coffee table. A low piled geometric pattern area rug defines the family room and brings in the blue accents throughout. The ceiling fan sits against the stain ceiling and accent lights highlight the ledgestone fireplace finish and the live edge mantle. The television is installed in the entertainment unit and the components are concealed on the two sides. Rear access to the cabinet assists with easy servicing and cable management.

Master bedroom and retreat complete

Master bedroom and retreat complete

The floating master bedroom feature wall is home to small end tables and reading lamps. Beyond the division wall is the dressing cabinets and wall unit. The various drawers on the rear wall contains jewellery, essentials and closet over flow. Motorized black-out blinds have been installed on all related windows in both of these areas. There is a family feature wall with multiple photographs and great memory documentation next to a sitting area. The walk-in closet is beyond the dressing area. Opposite the closet is the laundry area and beyond that the en suite. The retreat space has been a welcome addition to a busy household.

Looking north in the kitchen space you can see the butcher block eating bar installed flush with the island counter top. The clear pendant lights are flanking each side of the custom hood fan. A fully concealed panel fridge with black appliance handles is found at the end of the island.

Secret walk-in Pantry

Secret walk-in Pantry

A secret door reveals a walk-in pantry to harbor the essentials for this working kitchen. The functionality of this small space is amazing. Floor to ceiling narrow shelves create a wall of easy-access storage and quick assessment of pantry inventory. To the left of the hidden doorway is a full height additional pull out shelving unit. The larger, lighter pantry items are housed here. Don’t under estimate the depth requirements of most cans, spices, and small cooking items.

The railing has been transformed

The railing has been transformed

A lacquered handrail and main posts have drastically changed the appearance of this original railing. We can see a glimpse in to the mudroom and the main floor powder room from this vantage point. The staircase is a beautiful introduction to this home as you enter from the front door.

A completed kitchen renovation!

A completed kitchen renovation!

This is the day we have been waiting for. The finishing touches have been added to the kitchen space. Clear pendant lights, Wolf cook top and an island mounted pot filler situate themselves on the central island. A farm sink and prep counters are found on the west elevation. Beyond, we can see the dining room and patio double door access to the covered deck area where the patio heater was installed. The dining room fixture has a horizontal light and two stain grade beams. It has been a process to realize the kitchen features as originally outlined in the inspirational photos. We have added the clients personal touch in the final selections to bring their ideas to life.
